Acie Byrd, 84, of Branford, FL passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Mr. Byrd was born in Lafayette County and lived all his life in the Branford area. Acie was a hard-working man but always put others before himself. He farmed for most of his life and also spent time building cabin cruisers and working with cattle. Acie was generous and took care of others, including bringing fresh fried fish to his mother-in-law when she was in the hospital. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be missed by all his family.
Mr. Byrd is preceded in death by his daughter: Kim; one brother and six sisters.

Acie is survived by his wife of 59 years: Miriam Byrd; son: Dennis (Liz) Byrd; sisters: Jean Sullivan and Berta Aue; grandchildren: Tiffany (Blake) Thomas, Abby (Dylan) Barber; step-grandchildren: Chelsea (Zak) Morgan, Ragon (Amy) Knight; great-grandchildren: Case Thomas, Jake Thomas, Cali Barber; eight step great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Daniels Funeral Home, Branford, FL.
A graveside service to celebrate Acie's life will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Baptist Purity Memorial Cemetery, 10400 Fish Creek Rd, Salem, FL 32356.
