Alta Mitchell, aged 97, of Branford, FL, passed away on April 26, 2026. Alta moved to the Branford area in 1975 from Oakland Park, FL after retiring. She was a dedicated real estate broker and the owner/operator of Mitchell Real Estate. Alta was a cherished member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Branford, FL.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayburn Kendall Mitchell, her son Barry Ford Mitchell, her sister Dorothy Wanda Rushing, and her brother Lonnie Laurence Addison. Alta is survived by her sons, Clinton Allen Mitchell and his wife Donna, and Arthur Hillery Mitchell and his wife Robin. She also leaves behind her brother, Lenord James Addison, nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Alta's life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:30am at Riverside Baptist Church, located at 10760 NW 5th Avenue, Branford, FL 32008.
