Ann Leslie Loftin Thompson (May 24, 1948 – October 10, 2024) Ann was the only child born to Richard and Annabel (Raulerson) Loftin and grew up in Green Cove Springs, Florida graduating from Clay High School in 1966.

Ann attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia graduating with a degree in Home Economics. She married William (Bill) Thompson on February 21, 1971. They were the proud parents of Matt and Luke. She spent most of her career working in senior services in the state of Florida, primarily at the Cathedral Residencies (Jacksonville) and Advent Christian Village (Dowling Park).

She had many personal and professional friendships throughout her life that were deeply important to her. She was a lifelong, active member of the Episcopal Church. During her life, she was an active member of Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star, Daughters of the King, Daughters of the American Revolution, Florida Council on Aging, Altrusa, served on the vestry of several churches, and other Episcopal diocesan committees.

She is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, and granddaughter, Brielle. She is survived by her sons, Matt (Jennifer) of Salina, KS, and Luke (Kristin) of Grand Ledge, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Darcel, Bria, and Brody. She leaves behind many friends who were like family to her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Live Oak, FL. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the parish hall for family and friends. Internment will occur at a later date.
