Annette Crain, 81, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the Good Samaritan Center, Dowling Park. The Live Oak, FL native was a lifelong resident of Suwannee County. She loved sewing, working in the garden, canning, her flower beds, spending time with family, and babysitting her grandbabies and great-nieces.

Mrs. Crain held many positions such as cashier at Winn Dixie, Kent's Grocery, Piggly Wiggly, and manager at Cato's and Sunbeam Bread Co. Later in her years she was both a cook and cashier at the Dowling Park Dining Hall.

She is survived by her Husband of 63 years: Benton Crain, Live Oak; Daughter: Angela Cox (Stanley), Lake City; Sons; Roy Crain (Mindy) and Anthony Crain (Tanya) both of Live Oak; Grandchildren: Madison Crain (Tyler Wills), Live Oak, Kyle Warner (Brandy), Lake City, Brooke Knowles (Chris), Lake City, Jonathan Crain (Kelsey), Spencer Crain (Emma) both of Live Oak; Great Grandchildren: Audrey Warner, Kendall Warner, Ivorie Crews (Chris), Kye Knowles, Bryleigh Knowles, Alaya Knowles all of Lake City, with a baby Crain due in January 2025; Great-great grandchild: Mia Crews; Siblings: Kathy Bauman (Dave), Live Oak, Inez Linton (Steve), Gainesville, Betty Gail Blanchard, Tavares, and Felton Hingson (Megan), Ringsted, Iowa; Sister-in-law: Marvella Hingson, Burt, Iowa, Betty Sue West, Ridgetop, TN, Terri Cranford, Shawnee, OK, Linda Faye Vaden (Howard), Manchester, TN, and Margaret Shoaf, Gonzales, LA; Brother-in-laws: Jimmy Crain (Barbara), Live Oak, Bill Crain (Cindy), Oviedo, FL Gene Burton Crain, Waynesboro, TN; She was preceded in death by her Parents: Leroy (Carrie) Hingson; Brother: Bud Hingson; Cousin like a sister: Glenda Rae Jenson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Am Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Daniels Memorial Chapel with interment following in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Live Oak, FL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 Am until service time.
