Arlene, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on September 24, 2024 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Dowling Park, Florida. She was born on July 5,1931 to Edward and Katherine Cross, the first of three children. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1949 and married her sweetheart, Russell Neal of Friendship, Maine. They were married for 53 years until his death in November 2002. Arlene and Russell raised five children, Dave, Andrea, Glenda, Beth and Kelley. Later in life she found her soul-mate Dorian Williamson and they married on March 9, 2014 until his death August 29, 2022.

Arlene was predeceased by her parents, brother- Justin Cross, husband, Russell Neal, husband Dorian Williamson, son-in-law Steven Robinson and grand-son-in-law Richard Hills. She is survived by her children Dave Neal, Andrea Spear (Richard), Glenda Robinson, Beth Smith,(Allan), Kelley Neal (JoAnn), sister Carol Thomas, grandchildren, Jeremy Robinson (Dana), Joe Robinson(Tara), Dan Robinson, Tim Spear (Mandy), Jon Spear (Jenna), Lisa Gill (Kelley), Joshua Hanusek, (Mindy), Nicole Steinmark (Sean) and Natasha Neal, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlene held many jobs in her adult years, beginning with wife and homemaker followed by mother, caregiver, tax collector in Friendship, Maine-her hometown, school secretary, Administration clerk at Penobscot Medical Center in Rockport, Maine, Houseparent at the Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, Florida, Lodge manager at ACV, and volunteer. She was active as a member of the Advent Christian Church of Friendship, Maine as well as the AC Church in Dowling Park, Florida. She was currently a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. She volunteered through the ACV and could always be found willing and ready to assist whoever needed help. She was especially available as a valuable volunteer at the Dacier Manor Assisted Living facility where her daughter, Beth Smith was manager. A "Mission" minded person, Arlene traveled twice to Honduras with the mission Christo Salva, performing many helpful tasks. She had a heart for missions and a heart for people. She will be dearly missed as she made a remarkable impact on those around her.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at Daniels Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 5th at 3 pm with lite refreshments following. The family wishes gifts of appreciation and memories be given to Westside Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
