Betty Jean Brown Young, 83, Dowling Park, FL passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022. The lifelong resident of Live Oak worked at Ratliff Motor Company and the Suwannee Economic Council. She loved to fish and was a member of Rocky Sink Baptist Church, where she was very active. Mrs. Young is survived by her son: Mitch Young (Kim), her brother: James M. Brown, Jr. (Jackie); seven grandchildren; several extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: James M. & Maude Brown, Sr.; sister: Patricia Brown Newell and her brother: Jerry Ray Brown. Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, October 4th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Chauncey and Rev. Bruce Wehner officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow the service in Rocky Sink Baptist Church Cemetery.
