Betty Barnett David, 82, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023. Born Betty Lou Barnett on September 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John Noah Barnett and the late Lorena Webb Fennell. She attended Branford High school where she was a star basketball player and majorette. After graduating Betty moved to Jacksonville, FL where she completed her studies to become an X-Ray technician. She worked at Riverside Hospital where she served as the director of the X-Ray department.

Betty loved cooking and creating delicious meals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed surf fishing and was an avid gardener. She loved the family farm where she grew up. Betty was a true animal lover and she saved and cared for countless animals throughout her life. Most of all she loved her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years: Dr. Arthur K. David, Jr. and brothers: Robert J. Barnett and Ray Randal Fennell. She is survived by her daughters: Tracee S. Perrotti, Kristan David Podvia (Robert); step-sons: Arthur K David, III (Pauline), Mathew L. David(Lorraine), Roy Franklin David (Tracey) and Nathan W. David (Patte); sister: Marilyn Frampton; three grandchildren: David Perry, Nicholas Podvia, Emilee Podvia and twelve step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 3rd at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in O'Brien, FL with Rev. Danny Humphries officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made to the Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
