Betty Lou White, 84, passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 18, 2025 in Gainesville, Florida.

She was born on January 25, 1941 in Beards Fork, West Virginia, later making Live Oak, Florida her home. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose warmth and kindness touched many lives.

Betty successfully owned and operated White's Poultry Farm in Live Oak, Florida for two decades. Her passion for business all led her to co-own and later own White's Country Cabin restaurant in Orange Park, Florida.

Survivors include her children: Jason White; Rebecca Rogers (Jeff), and Jeffery White (Debra); her two brothers: Guy Hygema and John Hygema; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Edward White; her parents: Ralph and Sarah C. Hygema; brothers: Walter Hygema, Paul Hygema, and Curtis Hygema.

A memorial service to honor Betty's life will be held on March 1, 2025 at Daniels Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1126 Ohio Ave N, Live Oak, FL 32064. The service will begin at 2pm and there will be a visitation to greet the family from 1-2pm prior to the service.

Betty's legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
