Obituary

Calvin Deas, 74, of Jasper, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born in Suwannee County, FL, on September 8, 1951, to the late Homer and Eddie Deas of Live Oak, FL.

In 1970, Calvin moved to Jasper after marrying the love of his life, and together they built a home filled with faith, family, and devotion. He loved the Lord deeply and never missed an opportunity to share his faith with others. Calvin retired from Occidental/PCS in 2013 after forty-two years of loyal and dedicated service.

Calvin found joy in spending time with his family and friends, and he especially loved traveling to the mountains—a place that always brought him peace and delight.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 and a half years, Sally J. Deas of Jasper; two sons, Calvin Deas, Jr. (Terri Lynn) and Alfred Deas (Gail); and two daughters, Jennifer Gramling (Donnie) and Amanda Cone (Ray). He is also survived by his sister, Betty Ruth Mott of Live Oak, and his brothers, Charles Deas (Georgia) of Lake City and Kenneth Deas (Linda Joyce) of Live Oak.

Calvin was a proud and devoted grandfather to his ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton and David.

A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1st, at Jasper Assembly of God, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Edgar Wood and Rev. Andy Pearson.
