Carol Sellers Beasley was born on August 15th,1931, in Tampa, Florida, and died peacefully at Haven Hospice, Lake City, FL, on April 18th, 2024.    She was preceded in death by her parents Stinson and Vernelle Henderson, her  husbands, Roger Sellers and Brooks Beasley, her brother "Nick" Henderson, and a grandson, D.J. Menz.

She is survived by her three children, Joyce Menz (David), Jim Sellers, and Bob Sellers (Tracey), and three grandchildren, Christy Sellers (Nick Hahn), Jason Sellers, and Kyle Sellers.

Carol was a proud graduate of Florida State University, where she met our father, Roger Sellers.  They wed in 1953 and were married for 38 years.  Together, she and Dad were charter members of Arlington Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in Jacksonville, and both served there as elders and deacons.   Our mother loved singing in the choir and was often complimented on the joy she expressed while singing.  She was steadfast in her belief in God's love and forgiveness, and in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and our resurrected Savior.

After her early years of parenting, she returned to work part-time and later full-time, as a Business Education instructor at Jones College in Jacksonville.   Her other interests included playing bridge and volunteering for Learn to Read, a program for adults who were struggling readers or non-readers.

Seven years after our father died, Mom married Brooks Beasley and moved to Live Oak. They were married from 1996 until Brooks' death in 2019.  She joined First Baptist Church in Live Oak and worshiped there regularly.  She also volunteered with the church's Clothes Closet community project and attended Tuesday Bible Studies and Sunday classes.   She joined the Live Oak Garden Club and loved her years of activities and volunteerism with that group.

Our loving mother will be laid to rest in the Mandarin Cemetery in Jacksonville, in the Henderson family plot, next to our father and her parents, her brother, and sister-in-law.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel, 1126 Ohio Avenue North, Live Oak, FL  32064.  The family will receive visitors from 10:30-11:00, and the service will be held at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice, 6037 West U.S. Highway 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
