Carolyn Ann Elder, 74, of Wellborn, FL passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Carolyn was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert & Patricia Landis Gibson. She lived for many years in the Lakeland area and more recently Wellborn for the last 20-plus years. Mrs. Elder loved her job at the Lake City VA office and her role as a mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, baking, and taking trips with her siblings. She enjoyed finding bargains at yard sales and spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Patricia Ann Cox; sons: Roger (Rebecca) McComas, and Brian (Jaime) McComas; sisters: Marilyn Kolden, Diane Parrett, Denise Higgins; brother: Robert Gibson; grandchildren: Austin, Dylan, Hayden, Clinton, Tucker, Cody, Nicholas, Ella; great-grandchildren: Hayden, Laney. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ollie Paul Elder.

There will be a celebration of her life at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 28th at Daniels Memorial Chapel.
