Cecil Wayne Corbin, 68, O'Brien, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. The Beale Air Force Base, CA born native was of Christian faith and a Vietnam Veteran while serving in the Army. Cecil was a retired US Army Master Sergeant with 23 years as a Military Police Officer. He was the first enlisted Military Police Officer to attend and graduate from the FBI National Academy. Upon retirement from the US Army, Cecil was on the front line of 9/11 enduring the global war on terrorism, where he performed duties for the United States in classified programs that were the most pivotal in saving and protecting lives after 9/11. Cecil worked with the Agency full time and was Chief Field Operations Security Officer in the war zone for over 100 special operations handpicked for classified missions. He continued to serve in Afghanistan for over 5 years as a contractor providing security for projects that included "The Pony Express". He received military honors and awards including the FLETC Director's Award, Exceptional Performance Award (4), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Joint Service Commendation Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), and Overseas Service Ribbon. There was nobody else in operations or of all government employees that was more honor bound or respected as a brother in arms than him.

Mr. Corbin is survived by his wife of forty-four years: Brigitte A. Corbin, O'Brien, FL; mother: Anna Corbin, O'Brien, FL; daughter: Anna G. Corbin, Spring Grove, VA; son: Jason Corbin (Arina), Spring Grove, VA; sister: Melisa Bass, O'Brien, FL; brother: Gerald Corbin (Donna), Tibia Island, FL; two grandchildren: Silas Pedersen, Spring Grove, VA and Maikl Corbin, Spring Grove, VA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 26th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rolland Watenpaugh officiating.
