Charles E. Richmond Watson celebrated his 85th birthday on February 20th, and then peacefully crossed over into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at his home in Live Oak, FL.  He was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and served in the Air Force from 1961-1965.  He moved to Florida in 1967, where he met the love of his life, Donna Leah Watson, and married her a few months later.  He was an entrepreneur, started his family right away, and built their homestead in Palm Valley, FL. He sold his Security Alarm Business after 35 years, retired, and traveled with his wife, before they settled in Live Oak, FL. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Live Oak, and enjoyed the fellowship with his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mr. Watson is survived by his loving wife of 57 years: Donna L. Hughes Watson, Live Oak; Daughter: Doris Redish (Collin), Live Oak; Son: John Kelly Watson, Jacksonville; Brother: Edwin Alexander Watson, II (Han), Bufford, GA: Three grandchildren: Avery Grace Watson, Charles Dalton Watson, and Benjamin Parker Watson: As well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by is son, Charles Chris Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Wally Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from noon until service time.
