Clarice Hatch Barnett, age 90, sadly passed away on May 3, 2023. Clarice was born on March 25, 1933, in Branford, Florida to parents Barney and Flarizel Hatch. She married her husband, Robert Barnett, on September 11, 1955, in Branford, Florida. She was an extraordinarily kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Clarice was all about caring for others. Beginning her career as an RN at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville Florida, she advanced soon to shift supervisor. Eventually, her adept and enthusiastic teaching of nursing students there led to an official offer to teach nursing at the local college. When not nursing or teaching, she could be found caring for her family or serving her Lord in numerous ways at Holiday Hill Baptist Church. In later years, she and Lex travelled all over the country, visiting family far and wide, and many of the most beautiful parts of our country. She loved to try and fatten up grandchildren when they came for extended visits during summers. She and Lex enjoyed showing them

beautiful beaches, Disney World, and other Florida sites. Later in her life, they celebrated grandchildren's' graduations & weddings, and then welcomed each new great-grandchild. While suffering from a chronic disease later in life, she still managed to face each day cheerfully and lovingly.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lex Barnett, two twin daughters Susan Gainey, and Sandy Travis and her husband Jon Travis. Grandchildren are Ryan Gainey and wife Jasmine, Michael Gainey and wife Laura, Christina Gainey and husband Grant Loney, Amanda Travis and husband Tim Wessler, Elizabeth Travis and husband Tyler Huggins, Carissa Travis and husband Randy Bayas and Zachary Travis

Great grandchildren are Adam Gainey, Anna Gainey, Ayla Gainey, Everly Loney, Atticus Traveler, Ulysses Traveler, Ozias Traveler, Xavia Huggins, and Huxley Huggins.

She is preceded in death by her son Donald Barnett, Son-in-law David Gainey, both of her parents, her sister Eloise Clark, and her infant sister Margaret Hatch.

Formal Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at The John Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM located on 120 S. Broadway in Moore, Oklahoma.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home in Branford. Graveside Services to celebrate her life are with Daniels Funeral Home in Branford, Florida; at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 10th in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
