David Lynn Barnes, 68, O'Brien, FL passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. The Petersburg, VA born native lived most of life in the Branford area and was of Baptist Faith. He worked for the Suwannee County School System as a Bus Driver for ten plus years. Mr. Barnes is survived by his daughter: Kendall Barnes Taylor, Branford, FL; son: Daniel Barnes (Jessica), Bluffton, SC; brothers: Larry Barnes (Belinda), Branford, Wayne Barnes (Brenda), Franklin, VA, Wesley Barnes (Jackie), Branford; five grandchildren: Wilder, Teagan, Nora, Gwendolynn and Jovianna. He was preceded in death by his sister: Darlene Barnes; brothers: Tommy Barnes and Jerry Barnes. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 27th at First Baptist Church of Branford with Rev. Danny Humphries officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery.
