David Alan Ewen, 68, passed away peacefully in his home on August 24, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.  David was born on March 14, 1956, to Rodrick and Barbara Minor Ewen. Dave was employed by Kahn Tractor in Lebanon for more than 10 years before getting his CDLs and driving a triaxle dump truck for Bakaj Construction before retiring on June 25, 2021, and moving with his wife to Live Oak, Florida where they had a small farm. Dave loved hunting and fishing and most of all getting to know our neighbors and helping with mechanical work. His passion was cooking a whole pig for friends at Charlie Brown Campground in Connecticut where we were seasonal campers for more than 10 years.

Dave was survived by his wife: Wendy Peckham Ewen of 28 years married (36 years total); Daughter: Crystal Wood, Stepdaughter: Traci Peckham (Shaun Guerin); Stepson: Timothy Peckham (Kristin Spencer); Grandchildren: Trenton Wood and Marissa Kuykendall, Mother: Barbara Ewen, Brothers: Ronald Ewen (Carol); William Ewen (Sally); Rodrick Ewen, Timothy Ewen (Judy); Sisters: Diana Bora and Linda Ewen, among many nieces and nephews.

Dave will be greatly missed by all the family and a great number of friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
