David Melvin Norris, 90, Live Oak, FL, was called home to heaven on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. The Austinburg, Ohio born native served in the Army from 1956-1959,  moved to Live Oak in 1994 from Ellenton, and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was a life-long Dairy Farmer, who loved the Lord, his family, and loved to work. Farming was not only his vocation, it was his hobby and he built many barns. His hard work was his way of providing for his own family, as well as many others in the community.  He was incredibly generous through his hospitality, his donations and his personal labor. He loved to share his testimony of what the Lord has done, tell stories, jokes & riddles.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Joyce Musgrave Norris, and his grandson, Randy David Norris, Jr.
Mr. Norris is survived by his three daughters: Nancy Metzger (Brian), Holly Melland (Kenny), P.J. Kluver (Tim); three sons: Randy Norris (Missy), Larry Norris (Tiesha), Tim Norris (Juanita);  1 brother, Robert Norris of Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, we continue the spirit of our parents' generosity by donating to Gideons International, Samaritan's Purse and local Christian schools.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 21st at Mt. Olive Baptist Church fellowship hall, 98th Terrace,(Wellborn area) Live Oak, Fl. 32060. Lunch to follow.
