Dawn Kimberly Jess passed away on March 1, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of Wendy and Steve Jess and a loving sister to her brothers: Glenn and Steve.

Dawn was first and foremost a free spirit, a flower child with a heart of gold. Her wardrobe was as colorful as her personality. Perhaps one way to describe Dawn is to say that if someone did not know Dawn, once they met, she would not be forgotten. When she entered a room al knew she was there because she lit up the place. Her main aim in life was to be a devoted mom to be beloved son Travis, who equally says he could not be where he is if it was not for his mom, Dawn!

Dawn graduated from Garnet Valley School in June of 1981. She pursued architectural drafting in Naples, FL and graduated a paralegal program at Webster College in Gainesville, FL. Though Dawn was raised in Pennsylvania, she found Florida to be her true home, living in Trenton, Holiday, Venice, and finally Branford. She was an active Girl Scouts, worked as a blueprint shop and at the Florida Farm Bureau, She managed a marina store and finally owned and operated Annie's Books and Gifts in Venice, FL. Perhaps Travis says it all: "Get ready heaven, here she comes!"
