Deborah "Debbie" Lee Dansby, 64, Mayo, FL passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022. The Whiteville, NC-born-native moved to Mayo in 2001 from Marathon, FL. She served as a pastor's wife for thirty-five years. The last twenty-one years at Branford Church of God. Mrs. Dansby was heavily involved in church, singing, playing the piano, and also taught Sunday school. She was a substitute teacher in Lafayette County and worked at Badcock Furniture for a number of years. She loved to cross stitch, crochet, and decorate; her real passion was her family. Mrs. Dansby is survived by her husband of forty-two years: Rev. Gary Dale Dansby; her mother: Jonnie Lee Kidd Whittington and her father: Malcolm Whittington Sr.; son: Justin Dansby (Cindy); daughter: Amanda Lee Dansby De la Cruz (Erick); brother: John David Whittington; four grandchildren: Anna Belle, Gabriel, Leonardo, and Mateo. She was preceded in death by her brother: Malcolm Whittington, Jr. Celebration of Life will be held at  3:00 pm Friday, August 19th at Alton Church of God Family Life Center with Bishop Ron Sanderson and Bishop Tim Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. There will be a visitation held prior to the services beginning at 2:00 pm. Celebration meal to follow interment for all who wish to attend.
