Dewey Pournelle, 71, McAlpin, FL passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in his home. The Pahokee, FL native was a lifelong resident of the Live Oak/McAlpin area and a devout member of Live Oak Church of God. Mr. Pournelle was a Man of God who cherished his family,  and was best known for his generous spirit and selfless acts. He owned/operated Pournelle Construction Company in Live Oak for forty years and was an avid Florida Gator Fan.

Mr. Pournelle is survived by his wife of thirty-four years: Dee Mobley Pournelle, McAlpin, FL; daughters: Amanda Senea, McAlpin, FL, Amy Hogan, Orlando, FL; son: John Pournelle, McAlpin, FL; stepson: Jamie Senea, McAlpin, FL; loved like a son: Terry Johnson,  McKinney,TX; brother: Harleston "Bubba" Pournelle, Live Oak, FL; six grandchildren: Lindsey Senea, Nathan Brown, Trey Hogan, Jordan Hogan, Clayton Senea, Madelyn Senea; one great-grandchild: Elaine Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Carol Uprichard.

There will be a visitation at 10:00 am Monday, April 29th at Live Oak Church of God with the service following at 11: 00 am with Pastor Wes Tanksley and Pastor Fred Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, McAlpin.
