Douglas J. Robbins, 84, of Mayo, FL passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. The Zanesville, Ohio native moved to Mayo in 2008 from Brantley, Alabama. He was a farmer, a painting contractor, and a member of the Riverside Baptist Church, Mayo.  Mr. Robbins is survived by his companion: Coleta Mathis, Branford; Daughter: Jennifer K. Hanger (Steve), Maurertown, VA; Grandchildren: Maggie Sumner, Gregory Smith, Cheyenne "Blu" McSheridan, and Winston Douglas McSheridan; Nine great-grandchildren; Niece: Michelle Cochran (Charlie), Mayo; Numerous more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carolyne Pagel. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Riverside Baptist Church, Mayo, FL with Rev. Jimmy Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
