Earlene Bowling Gunter Lawrence was born in Lowes Grove, NC February 17, 1934, to Clarence and Frances Knight Gunter.  She was one of eight daughters. On June 10, 1950, she married Rex Thomas Lawrence, a farmer from Chatham County, NC.

Mrs. Lawrence and her family moved to Live Oak, Florida in 1971.  She worked for the Suwannee County Schools and retired at the age of 62.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and sisters Virginia, Alice, Martha, and Carolyn.

Mrs. Lawrence is survived by her daughter Frances Wilson, sons Rex "Andy" Lawrence, and Danny Lawrence; grandchildren, Tiffany Hancock (Bill), John Wilson (Heather), and Andrea Lawrence; great-grandchildren Robert and Andrew Wheeler, John Jr, Kelly, and Lora Wilson and special friends of the family Jack Sowisdral and Brenda Barclay Blue; sisters Margaret Wagner, Barbara Horn, and Linda Warm and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 12th at Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Deas officiating.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Westwood Baptist Church, 920 11th St SW, Live Oak, FL 32064, or to a charity of your choice.
