Earnest Lamar Floyd, 83, Live Oak, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.The lifelong resident of Live Oak worked at Florida Rock & Occidental and on the family farm with cattle and horses. He was also a member of the Sheriffs Posse, loved to rodeo, gardening, growing flowers and building. Mr. Floyd also was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he also served as a Deacon, and he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife: Linda Floyd: two daughters: Janice Elaine Floyd Thompson (David), Christina Mae Floyd Warner (Gary); bonus son: Robert Wainwright and several grandchildren. He was a loving Papa to Samantha, David, Jessica, Justin, Larry Michael, Matt, Ryan, Dylan, Jared, Kaylin, Bryson, Blaine, Jacob, Braylin, Cameron, Jordi, Avery, Willow, Winter, Daisy, Levi and was a loving Grandfather to Julia, Hunter, Elaina, Myles, and bonus grandson: Bryan. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Judith Carolyn Floyd; son: Timothy Lamar Floyd; sisters: Dorothy, Jereathea, Jeanette; brother: Edward and great-grandson: Trace Owen.

There will be a visitation held at 10 am Saturday, January 20th at Friendship Baptist Church with the services following at 11 am with Rev. Marshall Faulkenberry officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery with Mr. Harry Folsom officiating.
