Edith Kent, 87, of Live Oak, FL passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. The Lake City, FL, native lived most of her life in Live Oak, FL. She was a cashier for the Winn Dixie Grocery Store in Miami and Live Oak, FL for over 15 years and a member of the Faith Temple Assembly, Live Oak.

Mrs. Kent is survived by her daughter: Marilyn (Mark) Hunter, Lake City; Son: Lamar (Teresa) Kent, Live Oak; Brother: Russell Hancock, Live Oak; Grandchildren: Ashley (Scott) Chandler, Julie (Donald) Music both of Live Oak. Leslie (Jeffery) Haskins, and Natalie (Justin) Goss both of Lake City; Great-grandchildren: Jordyn Chandler, Jackson Chandler, Avery Music, Matt Music, Kayleigh Skeen, Finley Goss. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Jack Kent; Siblings: Emma Thompson, Lawanna Wiggins, Robert Hancock, Ronnie Hancock, Wes Hancock, George Hancock, and JD Hancock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in the Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak, FL with Mrs. Lois Carlton Officiating. Interment will follow in the Wellborn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 until service time Tuesday morning.
