Ella "Gertrude" Clark Land, 92, of Live Oak, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, following an extended illness. Gertrude was born in Live Oak, FL to the late Henry E. Clark and Annie Lanier Clark. She worked as a homemaker and was known for her exceptional cooking. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling. Gertrude was a long-time member of the Westwood Baptist Church where she faithfully served most of her adult life as a Sunday School teacher and was a charter school board member for the Westwood Christian School. She was also very active on numerous committees until her later years. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Harold L. Land, their daughter Martha Lynne Land, sister Shirley Clark Goff, and sister-in-law Sybil Land LeFevre, Mary Lou Land, and Jeannette Land. Her daughter survives her: Leah (Alfred) Lamontagne: Son: Hal (Tammy) Land; Four grandchildren: Kimberley Howell, Drew Land, Caleb Land, and Seth land; Four great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Gertrude is also survived by her sister-in-law and cherished friend Willene LeFevre. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Deas officiating. A visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at the church.
