Emma Ruth McKinney Phillips, aged 84, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on May 19, 2026. Born in McConnell, WV, on July 10, 1941, she moved to Live Oak in 1999 from Indiana. Emma was a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Wellborn for over 25 years, where she cherished worshiping her Lord. She found joy in spending time with family and friends, reading, sewing, gardening, and singing, especially old gospel hymns.

Emma is survived by her daughters, Samantha McKinney Hall (Donald) and Christine Keen (David); her sons, Robert McKinney, Mark McKinney, and William McKinney; her sister, Virginia Klein; as well as six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Thomas McKinney, her second husband, Everett L. Phillips, Jr., her daughter-in-laws, Sandra McKinney,  Nancy McKinney, brother, Tom Wheeler (Mary) and her sister, Audrey Logue.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Hazel officiating.
