Gary Byerley, 73, Wellborn, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 after a short illness. The Rome, GA born native moved to Wellborn thirty years ago from Columbia County and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He worked as a Biologist and retired from FWC- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation in Columbia County.

Mr. Byerley is survived by his wife of fifty years: Diana Caroline Byerley, Wellborn, FL; one daughter: Danielle Rae Byerley; Lake City, FL; and one brother: Alan Nelson Byerley, Idaho.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 30th at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Wally Weaver and Rev. John Weaver officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
