George Wayne Roberts, 81, O'Brien, FL passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023. The Key West, FL born native was a member of Branford United Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW, and served in the Army. Mr. Roberts worked in construction, building homes, commercial, and high rises; he also worked as a medical transport and at a cattle and hay farm. He liked to restore antique tractors, wood working and gardening. Mr. Roberts is survived by his daughter: Robin Roberts Ficken (Mark); son: Louis Wayne Roberts (Daleena); three brothers: William Norwood Roberts, Jr., Joseph Buckley Roberts, Jack Austin Roberts; four grandchildren: Alexander Norwood Roberts, Nicolas Byron Roberts, Mark Alan Ficken, III, and Kaitlyn Ruby Ficken. Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 1st at Branford United Methodist Church with interment following in Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be a visitation held on Friday, March 31st at Daniels Funeral Home (Branford) from 5:00-7:00 pm.
