George Daniel "Sandy" Ross passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Phil and Adell Ross and brother Clarence "Buddy" Ross. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cyndi, Son Michael (Harriet) Ross, Daughter Nikki (Jason) Skeen, Son Russ (Leslie) Grinnell, Grandkids Gavin, Ansley, Warner, and Lukas, Sisters Barbara Ann (Roger) Weinhold, Jane Hingson, Diane (Lyn) Duncan, Phyllis "Cookie" (Ralph) Murray, Brother Wesley "Rocky" (Tammy) Ross, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel graduated from Suwannee in 1960. He started working while in high school at Setsers Grocery in Live Oak, later moving to Madison to accept the assistant manager position. A few years later he accepted the manager position at Van H. Priest Dime Store, where he remained until 1981 when he became the Sales Manager at Gordon Tractor. Over the years, he won numerous sales awards, formed many long-lasting friendships and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Daniel was the one you could call on at any time, day or night, and he would be there. No matter if it was a problem with a tractor or hay equipment, he would stay until you finished the job so he could make sure everything was working up to your expectations. He remained at Gordon Tractor until he retired in 2014. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids.

Services will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at Daniels Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 and the Service will begin at 5:00. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Haven Hospice.
