Geraldine Marable Gamble, 92, Live Oak, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. The lifelong resident of Live Oak was a member of First Methodist Church of Live Oak. She worked in many Suwannee County Government offices beginning in 1954 in the office of Suwannee County Judge JM Hearn and retiring in 1984 from the Suwannee County Tax Collectors office. She then began her second career with Rich Capell and State Farm where she worked until 1999.

Mrs. Gamble was married to James Ray Gamble for 57 years until his death in 2014. Both were Suwannee County natives and made their home and raised their family on the Ballentine/Marable homestead in Luraville where she was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents Matthew and Nelia Marable as well as her four siblings Annie Lou Johnson, Cornelia Boatright, Jack Marable, and Sara Baker.

She is survived by her daughter: Susan Wood (Steve), Live Oak, FL ; two grandchildren: Will Wood, Live Oak, FL and Layne Wood, Live Oak, FL. Sydney Williams and Sid Bearden. As well as a host of nieces and nephews including two very special nephews Harold "Schrunchie" Boatright (Cindy), Lake City, FL and Allen Boatright (Connie), Tallahassee, FL.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, March 20th at Daniels Funeral Homes from 5:00 -7:00 pm. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 21st at First Methodist Church of Live Oak with Mr. Daryl Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
