Goldie Mae Gaylard, 83, Wellborn, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. The Franklin Furnace, OH born native moved to Wellborn in 1957 from Ohio, was a member of First Advent Christian Church in Lake City, FL and was mostly committed to her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star Grace Chapter #8, a longtime leader of the Suwannee County 4H, and was the first female School Board Member in Suwannee County.

Mrs. Gaylard is survived by her husband of sixty-five years: Fred O. Gaylard, Sr., Wellborn, FL; one daughter: Goldie Fralick (Ted), Wellborn, FL; three sons: Fred O. Gaylard, Jr. (Pam), Lake City, FL, Tim Gaylard, Roger Melvin Gaylard (Janie), Pensacola, FL; one brother: Albert Burke (Janet), Statesboro, GA; cousin: Roy Burke, Jr., Franklin Furnace, OH; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, January 15th at Daniels Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm. Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 16th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred O. Gaylard, Jr. officiating. A private family burial will be held in McClellan Cemetery.
