Hazel E. Reaves, aged 97, of Live Oak, FL, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. Born on November 11, 1927, in Fort Pierce, FL, Hazel was a cherished member of the Live Oak Church of God. She moved to Live Oak in 1970 from her birthplace and dedicated her career to serving as a kitchen aid at Suwannee Health Care.

Hazel is survived by her loving sons, Mark Reaves and his wife Martha of Newberry, FL, Earl Reaves and his wife Annette of Sitka, Alaska, Karl Reaves of Live Oak, and Jesse Reaves of Gainesville, FL. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Theresa Reaves of Aster, FL, and her brother, Mitchell Smith of Dowling Park, FL. Hazel leaves behind four grandchildren, Shawn Reaves, Kjaristy Fogarty and her husband Brian, Kyle Reaves, and Darren Reaves, as well as three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman E. Reaves, her son, Gary Reaves, and her granddaughter, Blake Reaves.

A visitation will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, October 17th at Daniels Memorial Chapel, followed by services at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Live Oak Cemetery.
