Homer A. Scroggin, aged 91, of Bartow, FL, passed away on February 6, 2025. Born in Ocala, FL, on November 1, 1933, Homer moved to Bartow in 2018 from Live Oak. He was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Live Oak and the Live Oak Lions Club. Homer honorably served in both the United States Navy and Army. His career included working as a Radio Dispatcher for the Florida Highway Patrol and retiring as a Beverage Agent for Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Homer is survived by his loving family: his daughter Betsy Morgan and her husband Gary of Savannah, GA; his son Greg Scroggin and his wife Andrea of Bartow, FL; his grandchildren Kelly Fox and her husband Eric, Erin Cutright, Melody McNally and her husband Danny, and Adam Scroggin and his wife Wendy; and his great-grandchildren Caleb Fox, Isaiah Fox, Elijah Fox, Hannah Fox, Quinn McNally, Zoe McNally, and Rae McNally.

Services to honor Homer's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 10th at Daniels Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Richard C. Platt, II officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
