Hubert James Severance, 71, of Branford, FL passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital after a short illness. The Lake City, FL native lived all his life in Branford. He was a 30-plus-year retired Construction Inspector for the Department of Transportation with the State of Florida, a member of the Suwannee River Riding Club and attended the Union Baptist Church, O'Brien, FL. Mr. Severance is survived by his wife: Connie Odom, Branford; Sister: Marie Goss (Jeff), Branford; Niece: Kelley Arnold (Travis), Branford; Great niece: Laila Arnold, Branford. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Nellie Severance. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, Branford, with Rev. Danny Humphries officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery. A visitation will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at the church until service time.
