Irene 'Mitsuko' Maddux, 93, of Live Oak, FL passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born in Sasebo, Japan in 1932. She work for many years at Goldkist and Pilgrim's Pride. Irene was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was known for her wonderful smile and friendly personality.

She was preceded in death by her husband: J.T. Maddux; daughter: Patty Butler.

She is survived by her daughter: Clara Brown (Raleigh); sons: Joe Maddux and James Maddux (Lisa); brother: Yutaka Yoshinaga; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many beloved friends.

There will be funeral service to honor Mrs. Maddux's life on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 11am at First Baptist Church, Live Oak, FL. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11am.
