Ivoree Cheney, 90, Live Oak, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.  Mrs. Cheney worked at Suwannee Hospital for twenty-two years, the VA in Lake City for twenty years, and she was a member of the Garden Club, WMU, and also a member of First Baptist Church since 1955.

Mrs. Cheney is survived by her two daughters: Melanie Cheney Kretzman (Bill), and Beverly Commander (Mike); one son: Doug Cheney, Jr. (Belinda); five grandchildren: Matthew Kretzman, Melissa Kretzman, Tyson Cheney, Mitchell Downing, Michael Commander, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren: Anna Marie, Kelly, Karsen, Bryson, Reed, Britney, Victoria, Michael, II; three great-great-grandchildren: McKenzie, Kennedy, and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her husband: Doug Cheney.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 10th at First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Sweitzer. There will be a visitation held prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church, 401 W Howard St, Live Oak, FL 32064; Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund,  19233 77th Road. McAlpin, Fl 32062; or a charity of your choice.
