James Alvin 'Al' Land, Jr., 63, of Mayo, FL passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, after a short illness. Al lived all of his life in Mayo where he worked as a farmer at James Alvin Land & Sons Dairy and taking care of his own beef cattle. Mr. Land enjoyed being outdoors fishing or hunting, watching Nascar, and everything to do with farming-especially riding on his tractor. He loved spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Land is survived by his mother: Midge (Kenny) Wimberley; daughter: Ashley Land; sisters: Kimberley (Phillip) Miller, Brenda (Donnie) Humphries; brothers: Aubrey (Theresa) Land, Eddie Sullivan, Jerry (LaDonna) Sullivan, Bruce (Yvonne) Sullivan; grandchildren: Anica Land, Haylin Land; numerous nieces, nephews; special family Brandy Harkless and family.

He was preceded in death by his father: James Alvin Land, Sr.; step-mother: Elizabeth Land; and nephew: Jared Sullivan.

There will be a funeral service at 11 am Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10-11 am prior to the service.
