James A. "Jim" McKinney, Sr., 80, Live Oak, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The Banner Elk, NC-born native was a member of the Elk River Fishing Club in NC, moved to Live Oak in 1999 from Tennessee, and was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.  Mr. McKinney worked at Johns-Mansfield Mining and transferred to Occidental in White Springs.

Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife of thirty-six years: Gloria A. McKinney, Live Oak, FL; daughter: Darla K. Lee (Clark), Lake City, FL; sons: James A. McKinney, Jr., Lake City, FL, Ronnie Little, Live Oak, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Helen, Daisy, Wilma, and Ann; brothers: Frank, Jr., A.D., Ralph, Earl, and George.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, Wellborn, FL with Rev. Lewis Gooch officiating.
