James Mason Kirby, Sr., 77, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on January 31, 2026. Born on April 25, 1948, he was a lifelong resident of Live Oak and a dedicated member of the Orange Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years, serving his community with dedication and commitment.

He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Glenda Kirby of Jennings, FL, his step-daughters, Karen Ellis (Ellery) of St. Augustine, FL, Gina Sexton of St. Augustine, FL; and his son, James M. 'Buddy' Kirby, Jr. of Ft. White, FL. He is also survived by his sisters, Pauline Woodham, Wendy Gail Boise, and Laverne Barfuss, all of Live Oak, FL and was a proud grandfather to sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 9th at Daniels Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Matthew Barker officiating.
