James R. "Jim" Paquette, 76, O'Brien, FL passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. The Hillsborough, Tampa-born native moved to O'Brien thirty years ago from Naples, FL, he was a Vietnam Veteran while serving in the Army, where he received a Purple Heart and retired after twenty-plus years. Mr. Paquette worked for Senior Command Sergeant & as a Drill Sergeant, the Department of Corrections in Lake City, and John's Lawn Equipment later in life. He enjoyed bowling, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids; he was also an avid fisherman who loved fishing in saltwater on his airboat.

Mr. Paquette is survived by his wife of thirty years: Deborah Paquette; daughter: Tammy Paquette Josey; son: Brian Criggall (Casey Estep); brother: Danny Paquette, Jr. (Bonnie); nine grandchildren: Brice, Cloey, Brighton, Kylar, Justin (Heather), Brandon, Robby, Tyler, Spencer; four great-grandchildren: Caden, Ciara, Charleigh and Bayleigh. He was preceded in death by his son James Christian on July 25, 2011, & grandson Alexander.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 6th at Daniels Memorial Chapel in Live Oak with Pastor Tom Winslow officiating.  There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations can be made to his wife: Deborah Paquette.
