James L. (Jim) Swafford, an 80-year-old native of Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Gainesville, FL. He was an Air Force veteran who worked at Windstream for over forty years before retiring. Throughout his life in Branford, he enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, watching westerns, and spending time with his wife Carol, their grandchildren, and their pets. Mr. Swafford is survived by his two sons: Thomas W. Swafford (Lorri) and J. Daniel Swafford (Wendy), as well as his four grandchildren: Trevor, Lacey (John), Emily, and Elizabeth. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Swafford.
