James Ellis Williams, 98, Jacksonville, FL passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. The Eugene, FL born native moved to Jacksonville sixty years ago from Live Oak, FL , was a Veteran of WWII while serving in the Marines, and was a member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of sixty-six years: Beatrice R. Williams, Jacksonville, FL; three sons: Eugene Williams (Lorrie), Jacksonville, FL, James R. Williams (Carol), Bradyville, TN, Marvin R. Williams (Cyndy), Jacksonville, FL; one sister: Irene LaBelle, Gainesville, FL; two brothers: Gary Williams, Live Oak, FL Bobby Williams, Umatilla, FL; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister: Fanora Smith and brother: Ben Williams.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 7th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry McGinley and Pastor Robert Williams officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
