Muriel "Jeanene" Taylor, always Jeanene to her friends and family, passed away on September 20th, five days before her 74th birthday.

Jeanene was truly a "Suwannee County Girl". She was born in Live Oak, to a family that had deep roots on both sides in North Florida. She attended Suwannee County High School, North Florida Community College and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Jeanene would return to Live Oak to teach fifth grade where she once was a student. Jeanene was not only an educator but a role model for the children in her classroom.

Jeanene was also involved in numerous civic organizations locally. She was a member of The Women's Club of Live Oak, New Harmony Methodist Church, and a passionate supporter of the Suwannee Valley Humane Society.

She is preceded in death by her daughter: Stephanie Brown, brother: Franklyn "Buzzy" Taylor and her parents: Howard and Eumera Taylor.

Jeanene will be put to rest with her daughter and generations of her family in Live Oak Cemetery. Her final request was that in lieu of flowers please make a thoughtful donation to either Haven Hospice or the Suwannee Valley Humane Society.
