Jerry Edward Floyd

Jerry Edward Floyd, 76, of McAlpin, FL, was born on August 19, 1950, in McAlpin, FL, and passed away on October 17, 2026. A lifelong resident of McAlpin and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tammy J. Floyd of McAlpin; six daughters: Jeri Michelle McShirley (Jon) of Colorado, Kimberly Overby (Derrek) of Branford, Tonya McDuffie (Jeff) of Merritt Island, Ashley Hassebroek (Jarrid) of Lake City, Rachel McCray (Wayne) of Mayo, and Lizabeth Guillery (Michael) of Perry; one son, Jerry Edward Floyd II (Hailey) of McAlpin; three sisters: Caroline McCook (Edwin), Linda Todd, and Regina Cline, all of Live Oak and one brother: Charles Floyd (Debra) of McAlpin. He was also blessed with 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, William E. & Lillian Floyd, and siblings Judy Ann North, Trudy Lee, and Mark Floyd.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 11 AM at Grace Baptist Church, 5196 US-27, Mayo, Florida 32066.
