Jewell Gray, born on July 23, 1944 as the youngest of eleven children, passed away on June 10, 2025. She spent her entire life in the Live Oak area, where she was known for her dedication to her family and community. Jewell worked as a Finance and Billing Secretary at the Advent Christian Village for over 30 years, showcasing her commitment and diligence.

A Godly woman, Jewell was a steadfast and loyal wife, especially during her husband's illness. She had a passion for gardening, particularly tending to her flower beds and potted plants. Jewell also loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. Her musical talents extended to playing the piano, a skill she acquired to teach her daughter.

Jewell cherished attending her grandchildren's activities and had a gift for hospitality, often entertaining family and friends in her home. She was an excellent cook, renowned for her chicken & rice, and took great pride in caring for her family.

Jewell is survived by her daughter, Gwen (Gary) Gill; her son, Daryle (Rose) Gray; her sister, Maxine Wiggins; and her grandchildren, Emily, Grayson, Dagan (Ellie), Logan, Jeremiah, Samuel, and Ruby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Gray, her son, Randall Curtis Gray and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak, FL. A funeral service will take place at 10am on Monday, June 16, at Westwood Baptist Church in Live Oak, FL, followed by interment at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Curtis.
