John W. "Johnny" Brooks, a beloved resident of Live Oak, FL, passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 78. A lifelong resident of Live Oak, John was a man of Advent Christian Faith and a proud member of Barrette Lodge #43 and the Free and Accepted Masons. He dedicated thirty-three years of his career to Occidental/PCS in White Springs, FL, before retiring. John honorably served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the Navy from 1962 to 1964.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Greene, Texas, two sons, John O. Brooks and his wife Christa, and James L. Brooks and his wife Tammy, both residing in Inverness, FL. He also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Ashton Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Cory Brooks, Savannah Howe, Justin Adkins, Robbie Adkins, Cade Greene, and Seth Greene, as well as four great-grandchildren: Corbin Brooks, Paisley Brooks, Lauryen Johnson, and Kayleigh Johnson with one on the way, Evelyn Rose Leonard.

John was preceded in death by his two sisters, Jessie Saunders and Mary Fitts, and his granddaughter, Kylee Ryan.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22nd, at Daniels Memorial Chapel, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Frank Davis. The interment will take place in Live Oak Cemetery.
