John Alvis Gamble, 94, Dowling Park, FL passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The lifelong resident of Live Oak was a school bus driver for twenty-six years and was a member of Rocky Sink Baptist Church. He was also a farmer, who farmed hay and chicken houses, and at the age of 88 he drove a truck for Shenandoah Dairy. Mr. Gamble is survived by his son: John H. Gamble (Brenda), Live Oak; two sisters: Rita Burnett, Jasper, FL, Marlene Smith, Live Oak; two brothers: Gerald Gamble, Live Oak, Danny Gamble (Debra), Live Oak; two grandchildren: Julie Cherry (Lee) , Lisa Tillman (Brian); three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Ty, and Larrie. He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-two years: Azalee G. Gamble; his sister: Eloise Harrell; his parents: Curtis Alvis & Erma Lanier Gamble. Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 14th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Chauncey and Rev. Pat Chewning officiating.  There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Rocky Sink Baptist Church Cemetery.
