John L. Meyers, 86, O'Brien, FL passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. The Patterson, New Jersey-born native moved from Tarpon Springs in 1998 and was a Vietnam Veteran while serving in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for 20 years. He was a member of San Juan Catholic Church in Branford, Marine Corp League- Knights of Columbus and spent twenty-six years in banking between Tarpon Springs and Live Oak.

Mr. Meyers is survived by his daughters: Roberta L. Meyers, Palm Harbor, FL, Linda M. Meyers, Atlanta, GA; son: Dr. John L. Meyers, O.D. (Gina M. Meyers), Trinity, FL; sisters: Jane Abate, Ramsey, New Jersey, Joan I. Shortway, Ridgewood, New Jersey; brother: William M. "Bill" Meyers, Haldon, New Jersey; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, another great-grandchild to arrive any day; and his companion: Barbara Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years: Mary (Maureen) Meyers.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 11th at San Juan Catholic Church in Branford. There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm at the church. Interment will take place Wednesday, April 12th in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
