Johnnie Lee Hutcherson Brannon, 83, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Haven Hospice Care Center, Lake City, FL surrounded by her family. We are sad that she left this earth but we know she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior.
Johnnie was born in Live Oak, FL on September 5, 1940 to John & Daisy Hutcherson. She moved around a bit during childhood as her Dad was a Baptist preacher. She and Willard married in 1958 and ultimately settled in Wellborn, FL. She was a faithful member of Wellborn Baptist Church until her health began failing. She was preceded in death by her husband: Willard, her parents and two sisters: Ann Surles and Betty Horne.
Johnnie was a retired nurse and the ultimate caregiver. She had an innate ability to discern what you needed and get it for you. She would drop everything to assist friends and family in their time of need. She made the best fried pork chops, banana pudding, and pancakes. She loved shopping and caring for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the North Carolina mountains and the friends she made there.
She is survived by her two daughters: Debbie Chauncey (Mike), Denise Carmichael (David); son: Buddy Brannon; brother: Roy Hutcherson (Jo); eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Daniels Chapel, Live Oak, FL with Rev. Leroy Dobbs officiating. A visitation for friends and family will be prior to the service from 10-11am. Private interment will be at Brannon Cemetery, Wellborn, FL.
