Johnny Mack "J.M." Bracewell passed peacefully on September 26 after a lengthy illness.  J.M. was a native of Florida and Suwannee Co., born on April 16, 1938. He was a heavy equipment operator and a farmer. He was a member of the Branford Sportsman's Club and Hayward Masonic Lodge.  He was well known for his friendly demeanor and his welcoming disposition at many local businesses. He truly never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bettye Bracewell, his daughters, Tina Allen (Lake City) and Tammy Bracewell (Oak Ridge, TN), his granddaughters, Ava and Adra Allen, his sister, Doris Hagan (Jasper), nephew, Roger Henry (Jennings), and Stepmother, Clara Baxter (Live Oak). He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine Bracewell, and siblings, Harold Bracewell, Henry Bracewell, Johnny C. Bracewell, Robert Bracewell, Nora Hatch, Agnes Brim, Myrtle Campbell, and Vera Pittman.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 2 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak.  The service will be Monday, October 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church in Live Oak. Interment immediately following at Rosemary Baptist Church, 2001 CR 249 Live Oak.
